Cruise ship opportunities for Fife

Karen Christie of Promoting Fife has contacted us about a new event. Fife has a huge opportunity…15,000 cruise ship passengers arriving in Rosyth this summer!

Since the first workshop in February, significant work has been going on to enhance the displays within the terminal building, build a volunteer welcome team ‘The Forth Bridges Tourist group’, develop a network of local taxi operators and put on displays within the lounge.
Now with the experience of the first two ships behind us, we would like to invite businesses back to Rosyth, to explore your more practical involvement.
Aim:
  1. To develop proposals for display/retail opportunities at Rosyth on Cruise Ship visits
  2. To ensure businesses have knowledge of business opportunities for those passengers who are looking for retail or activities in the local area
  3. To develop the opportunity for tours

Date: Wednesday, 23rd May
Time: 9.30am until 12.30pm
Venue: Rosyth Ferry Terminal Building (follow signs for Ferry)
How to book:
Email karenA.christie@fife.gov.uk with your name, contact details including email and phone number and how many places are required (max 2 per organisation)

Tourism in Fife

Tourism accounts for a very significant portion of income into Fife and the Fife Tourism Partnership has created a great website – http://www.tourismnetfife.co.uk/ where any business with a tourism angle can register and benefit from lots of great features.  The one we like best at FSB this month is the Twitter offer.  If your business has a special offer relevant to Tourism, you can post it on the website and Ann Camus, the Fife Tourism Partnership Officer, will ensure it is re-tweeted.  More and more businesses of all sizes are benefitting from the Twitter phenomenon – and here is the best bit – it is FREE!
